No, you are not dreaming – it’s July 6, 2007, and you are in Greece, participating in the Arrow Run, the first international powerboat marine rally in Greece.
Greece, with hundreds of islands surrounded by the big blue sea and providing high quality tourism infrastructure, is one of the best destinations in the world for power boating.
The Arrow Run is a five-day event that will take place from July 6, to July 10 2007, with each day offering different experiences and activities: Competition, performances, eco activities, exploration, parties, unspoiled beaches, exclusive hotels and venues, every day will be filled with fabulous people, in fabulous places!
Powerboat owners (25-55ft, min speed 40mph) from all over the world can participate with their friends or family on board, and explore the Greek blue seas and islands in a unique way - full logistics support for boat transportation is provided.
The 2007 route and destination (the famous Sporades archipelago in Greece) has been voted as one of the top 100 destinations in the world by Conde Nast Traveler.
The Sporades archipelago includes more than 700 islands, 100 beaches and a vast array of unique marine life. Among the ports of call, Skopelos Island is famous for the typical Greek architecture and lifestyle, Allonisos Island is known for the natural heritage and the sea park, and Skiathos Island provides cosmopolitan flair and nightlife.
During the event, participants will explore many of the islands, and they will experience a day in an upscale camp which will be set up exclusively for the participants in a secret unspoiled beach, where guests will participate in adventure experiences including (for some) a helicopter flight. The Arrow Run will culminate in an Awards ceremony, followed by relaxation in a 5-star hotel in Skiathos (Skiathos Princess) for the last night.
